Respiratory Syncytial Virus Immunizations

Programs that inoculate susceptible individuals of all ages, but particularly infants younger than 8 months, and adults 60 and older to prevent them from contracting the virus. The vaccine intended for older adults is administered in a single-dose regimen. Protection for infants is available in two forms: a vaccine administered prior to birth to pregnant individuals in their third trimester during RSV season, or a single-dose antibody shot administered to the infant after birth.
