Programs that provide information and/or services that deal with the topic of emotional support animals that alleviate one or more symptoms or effects of a person’s disability. Emotional support animals provide companionship, relieve loneliness, and may assist with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, panic attacks, certain phobias, and PTSD, but unlike service animals, do not have special training to perform tasks that assist people with disabilities.
